# Environmental, Social, and Governance

Gamerse will integrate with the Polygon network to reduce transaction costs and settlement times while significantly reducing its carbon footprint. Polygon utilizes a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism which eliminates the requirement for computationally expensive and high-power consumption proof-of-work algorithms such as those on Ethereum.

However, Polygon is fully interoperable across Ethereum with settlement capability on EVM. This enables full compatibility with all ERC NFT assets.
